Here at Greenlam we understand sustainability as how we consume and harness resources, not only in the environment, but in the economy and society too. A complex issue that’s far more than just displaying some certificates and setting some goals, sustainability pervades through every aspect of our business as we look to become as sustainable an entity as is possible.

Mindful of our consumption of natural resources, we’ve created the Green Strategy Group that works towards creating, implementing and monitoring ‘green initiatives’ across our entire organization. With the prime mandate to reduce our footprint through clean technologies and to bring innovation in product to reduce consumption, the Green Strategy Group is leading our charge as a benchmark within the laminates and decorative surfaces.

As a global manufacturer operating in many different countries and sectors, we are fully committed to ensuring that our products meet relevant green building standards across the globe:

Greenguard

he Greenguard certification programme helps specifiers, end users and home owners to find interior materials that have low chemical emissions, improving the quality of air wherever the products are used. By using Greenguard it is possible to compare like-for-like products on the basis of established criteria. Greenguard can also contribute to LEED points on projects.

Greenlam is the first non-US laminate manufacturer to have achieved Greenguard status for its standard and compact grade products, but we go one stage further with the even more stringent Greenguard Gold certification on all of our products. With an even stricter set of criteria, this certification means that all of our laminates are suitable for use in environments where children and the elderly spend large amounts of time. Whether school, nursery or care home or healthcare location, choosing laminate from Greenlam makes perfect sense.
